Anupama tells Anuj that she is now a mother instead of a student. She says that Gurumaa isn’t picking up the phone because she must be mad at her, that Nakul must be busy cancelling the US shows, that she can’t face Gurumaa, and that sometimes you have to choose between your heart and your brain, and she chose her heart.
She keeps explaining why this mother came back for her bebli CA and Maaya. She will take care of her bebli, but she doesn’t know how to explain gurumaa.
The lights go out. Nakul sends Gurumaa a voice message asking if she is okay and why she isn’t picking up his call. He also says that Anupama must be in Ahmedabad by now, so he asks Gurumaa to call him and talk. Gurumaa says that a guru or teacher’s curse is even more powerful than a gift.
Shahs worry when the power goes out at a bad time. Leeela says that it looks like a storm is coming. Anupama goes down the street with Anuj and asks about CA. Pakhi says that she is sleeping with her maid.
Vanraj tells Anupama that everyone is worried about her and wants to know how she got back. Kinjal says that if she doesn’t want to tell, they will leave from there.
Kavya tells her that she can think for a while. Anupama tells them that she knows they all want to know and have a right to know, and then she tells them her story. Gurumaa goes in. Anupama gets to her feet and tells Gurumaa that she knows what she did was wrong and that she is ready to take the punishment. She sees the bloody footprints of gurumaa.

Gurumaa gives Anupama a hug and then slaps her hard. People are all surprised to see that. Gurumaa asks Anuj how dare she hit his wife, which is wrong. Anupama stops him.

It’s true that gurumaa’s student is wrong, but a mother is not wrong. Her student feels guilty, but a mother is proud of herself. Gurumaa helped her when she had lost hope and gave her a chance, but she betrayed gurumaa, etc., etc. She says that even Gurumaa has a mother because she has seen one, etc., and that the mother went back for her daughter, etc.
Gurumaa says that Anupamaa did a great job of destroying everything in one shot, and that Anuj must have done something to make her come back for sure. Anupama said she chose to come because she wanted to see CA and Maaya.
