Anupam Kher is appointed as the new chairman of FTII on Wednesday, 11-10-2017. He replaces Gajendra Chauhan whose selection in 2014 raised protests among the students of India’s premier film and television school due to his inefficient track in filmmaking and lack of ability to handle the affairs of FTII.
