Ranveer Singh has played the role of Alauddin Khilji and it is evident from the history that the Delhi Sultanate ruler Alauddin Khalji captured the Chittor Fort from the Guhila king Ratnasimha in 1303. His motive was to obtain the beautiful wife of Ratna Sinha called Padmavati.
