 Amitabh Bachchan
Amitabh Bachchan, also known as Big B or Shahenshah of Bollywood, was injured during the shooting of 1983 film Coolie. In a fight scene, he got a powerful punch on his stomach from his co-star Puneet Issar leading to a severe pain. After that shooting was stopped and he was taken to a Mumbai hospital from Bengaluru where he underwent multiple surgeries. He got the treatment of myasthenia gravis in the year 1984 after which he got normal and resumed film shooting. He wrote on Twitter that prayers of his fans kept him alive when he was about to die.
His upcoming Bollywood movies in 2018 are ‘Padman’ and ‘Thugs of Hindostan’.
 Manisha Koirala
Manisha Koirala is one of the most popular Bollywood actresses during 1990s who battled the deadly disease of ovarian cancer in 2012. Despite this, she gave her best performance and got a lot of appreciation from the viewers. She had to undergo a surgery that successfully ended cancer at the end of the same year.
Born on 16 August 1970 in Kathmandu, Manisha is the daughter of a former minister of environment of Nepal, Prakash Koirala. This Nepali actress appeared in many Bollywood films and won many accolades including four Filmfare Awards.
 Yuvraj Singh
Yuvraj Singh is a member of Indian cricket team who is well-known for hitting six sixes against England at the 2007 World T20 cricket match in one over bowled by Stuart Broad. India won this match and this is his best performance ever delivered.
He is also a fighter in real life who faced left lung cancer leading to breathing problems and blood vomiting after 2011 world cup. He got proper treatment of chemotherapy at a hospital in Boston that cured him. After that, he returned to India and participated in cricket matches.

Lisa Rani Ray is a model turned actress from Canada and a TV host who made her debut in Indian movies with the Tamil film Nethaji (1994). Ray had a tough time when was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of cancer affecting plasma cells in the bone marrow. This rare disease is hard to cure. She is now free from cancer but not properly cured.
In 2016, she appeared in a Hindi film, Veerappan. Her latest Hindi movie in 2017 is ‘Dobaara’ in which she portrayed the character of Liza Merchant.

 Anurag Basu
Anurag Basu is a screenwriter, actor and film director who began his directing career from TV and then switched to films in 2002. Basu was diagnosed with blood cancer while writing the scripts of Bollywood movies Gangster (2006) and Life in a… Metro (2007). On one stage doctors told him that there are only 50% chances of his survival but he didn’t give up and emerged as a winner after treatment.
He directed a comedy-drama film Barfi! (2012) that got huge commercial success but his latest directed film Jagga Jasoos (2017) failed to collect a good amount at the box-office.
 Salman Khan
Salman Khan is one of the most popular Bollywood stars who suffered a painful disease called trigeminal neuralgia in 2011. It caused severe pain in his jaw and face but he got the necessary treatment and continues to live a heroic/Dabang life.
